Sermon Description: In the quest for the “perfect” Christmas, or a “traditional” Christmas, or in wanting to recreate for our family—or ourselves—the experience we had in the “olden days”, we can strive to have complete control over how Christmas turns out. This is not only impossible, but it keeps our focus inward on our own experience. It is also the complete opposite of the posture the Bible calls us to have as we celebrate Christ’s coming and anticipate his return.
