Sermon: Emmaus
Scripture: Luke 24:13-35
Sermon Description: Have you ever taken a walk and missed seeing something that was right in front of you? Have you ever been oblivious to what was going on right next to you? Oftentimes, conversations, rectangular distraction devices, or things on our mind will distract us from that which is right in front of us. The disciples who walked to Emmaus (and then ran back) on Easter Sunday had a similar experience and needed their eyes to be opened. Fortunately, for the disciples on the Road to Emmaus and for all of us today, we have someone who is both always with us and also runs ahead of us.
