Sermon: Bringing the Future Into the Present
Scripture: Matthew 15:21-28
Sermon Description: In one of the more uncomfortable passages in the Gospels, Jesus seems to reject a mother’s request to heal her daughter—and likens her to a dog no less! Jesus ends up healing the daughter in response to what seems like a clever come-back from the mother. But there’s so much more going on! This is a turning point in which the future is invading the present.
